Reaching the Port!

Men on a boat

“To reach a port we must set sail –

Sail, not tie at anchor

Sail, not drift.”

                                                                   ― Franklin D. Roosevelt

God’s ray of Love

Light on water

As God illumines all people equally with the light of the sun, so do those who desire to imitate God let shine an equal ray of love on all people. For wherever love disappears, hatred immediately appears in its place. And if God is love, then hatred is the devil. Therefore as one who has love has God within himself, so he who has hatred within himself nurtures the devil within himself.  – St. Basil the Great, Homily on Asceticism

Hear My Prayer Oh Lord!

Jesus-Lord & Saviour
Oh Lord who dwellest in the most high
Hear Thou the pain in my cry
Through the night as I sit and sigh
May your presence with me be nigh

My soul longs to be with you my Lord
My heart- It longs for your love my God
For you are a God of Love and Mercy
Grace and goodness, Hope and Righteousness:As many have come to see

Hear thou my prayer, Oh Lord
May my afflictions be comforted by thy word
May thy Spirit in me always dwell
Through Joy and Suffering, may my mouth forever, have only your story to tell

Speak My Lord, for thy Servant is Listening!

Speak My Lord

Speak, my Lord, speak, my Lord,
Speak, and I’ll be quick to answer Thee;
Speak, my Lord, speak, my Lord,
Speak, and I will answer, “Lord, send me.”

– from George Bennard’s song: Speak My Lord

Tweets of Thanks!

Indian Silverbill

A whistle here ;a whistle there

A call here;a call there

Freely we chirp; in this wilderness so bare

Raising our tweets in thanks

To Our Lord God, of us, who takes care

Where am I?

Deodar Trees

Where am I? I wonder at times

Lost in a world where patience is scarce

Where ambition drives relationships and  hypocrisy causes no remorse

Where thirst for power is all that matters and ethics matter no more

Where  forgiveness and selflessness are looked down upon as signs of weakness

And where humility, compassion and love are considered worthless

I hope not to lose myself here, I pray

Following the ways of this world, I hope I am never led astray

Let it Rain

Monsoon Moon

Is tonight the night when our thirst will finally be quenched?

Is tonight the night when this scorched earth will finally be refreshed?

Oh Oracles of prosperity!Let it rain, let it rain we pray

Pour out your hearts on us without further delay

The Dark Shadow

The scarred moon

“Where are you my beloved?”  softly whispered the moon into the dark night

“Let me cast my light on your graceful limbs .Your shimmering leaves, let my eyes see”

“No… No longer”, croaked the age ol’ tree

“Death has cast on me its final glance and I’d rather be alone in my plight

No longer am I worthy of your halo

I shall but cast on you just a dark shadow”

Your Handiwork

The house in the Hills

Oh the joy of seeing Your work with mine own eyes

The gushing river, the lush grass & the sprawling valleys

The dash of snow on the peaks, the crafted hills and the painted skies

Sigh! Ain’t I glad to be where nature abounds and Your glory lies

The soul is at peace, the mind is at rest

It’s Where humans live in peace and nature unveils its best
